Meet Meg

Tahoe Forest Hospital has been part of Meg’s life from the very beginning—she was born there, her son was born there, and she has spent nearly two decades working alongside the people who make it exceptional.

After earning her degree from Stanford University, Meg returned to the mountains and founded SmallPond Studio, an award-winning marketing and communications firm. For more than 20 years, she has helped businesses, nonprofits, and public agencies develop strategic plans, build trusted brands, and communicate effectively with the communities they serve.

Her connection to Tahoe Forest Health System began as an independent consultant, partnering with hospital leadership to develop strategic communications and increase community engagement. She later joined the organization as Director of Marketing and Communications, gaining firsthand insight into the opportunities and challenges facing a rural healthcare system and the importance of thoughtful governance, transparency, fiscal responsibility, and strong community relationships.

Meg’s values of integrity, collaboration, and stewardship have guided her professional career as well as her extensive volunteer service. She currently serves as Vice Chair of the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe and has previously served as President of the Rotary Club of Truckee and as a board member of the Truckee River Watershed Council.

When not working or volunteering, she enjoys trail running, skate skiing, hiking, and traveling with her son Ethan, husband Nick, and HSTT rescue pup Lio.
